I loved every bit. I also feel a lot when it comes to things moving around or just existing in my house, and I also think of cleaning as a spell that can be of welcoming the new space it creates, or an enchantment to organize what's in my head, just like writing.
Oh Katy, I love this so much. Your grapefruit spoons and all the rest of it. Gorgeous to read and feel like I’m right there with you, surrounded by boxes and thoughts of what’s next for you and your whole family. Good luck!
Thank you, Katy, for another vivid, honest and real post. I love what you're doing, even if it's a LOT. I love that you and Jason are creating a home from the ground up. And I love Jason's words to you, because this will clearly be a home furnished with love. May you receive many blessings there.
ah Katy, i feel exhausted just reading this (not just the physical work, but emotional--moving is a time for reflection and thank you Jason for the reminder to be kind to yourself). i do hope you gift yourself some time to rest. and i certainly don't mind waiting until you have a moment to update us...always worth it. and about your kiddos: "It seems careless to lose all three of them"...it seems as they grow older, you are "finding" amazing humans. (this from the voice of experience as mine are 34 and closing in on 37.) sending you a big hug and wishes for safe travels back and forth between this place and that!
“I feel battered by the noise and dirty with the evidence of my behaviour.”!!!! Love this so much and it totally resonates as l look at my book shelves and crafting materials. Excited for you all in these next adventures. Thanks Katy.

Beautiful as ever Katy, the boxes, the overwhelm and the armour for your son. Take care and remember slow. X
