Is it just the camera angle or does Queen Susan have very short legs? I love that moment in early Spring when suddenly you can turn your face to the sun and it's really warm. I'm sorry about the migraines - I recently made a major difference to my headaches (which were waking me in the night with awfulness) by getting one of those splints things from the dentist. It fits over my bottom teeth and aligns my jaw better and stops me clamping my teeth together. It has made such a difference. I wear it overnight , every night.

Susan has ludicrously short legs. She's like a Queen Anne chair! x I did have an anti grinding device a few years ago and chewed through it! I'll have a look at splints though.

I think it probably is an anti-grinding device, and yes, I do chew through them, but - they stop my headaches.

"I closed my eyes for a while and let the sunshine write patterns on the insides of my eyelids."

I had to sit silently with this. Gorgeous.

ah, "...and sometimes I'll only know when I sit in the sun and let nature do its job knowing I've done mine." thank you for, first the pic of Susan. i love her from afar. and then thank you for this lovely post. as spring stirs where i am, my words have escaped me the last month of winter. this was a reminder that they will (hopefully) rise up with the daffodils--for even in unsettled times, those yellow trumpets return and announce the stirrings of Earth will continue no matter what the powers that be may have in mind (as your "fell out of human use" space illustrates.)

and migraines. mine have been playing mischief over here too and i've heard that from others that get them...perhaps all the unsettling in our world are effecting those of us who are sensitive?

anyway, take tender care. sending a hug from across the pond.

I definitely think the migraines have something to do with the bigger mess we're in for sure. Much love. x

Ah! I hear you. My optometrist suggested that I have different pairs for different things but I am so hopeless at the mechanics of glasses wearing I am resisting for now. I have a single pair that are on my face all the time. If I had more than one I feel it would be expensive and disastrous. x

Susan's face is the absolute best. She looks like an entitled pillow!

Beautiful Katy. I too am sifting and mine is emanating outwards through painful hip, pelvic area and back. Strange where it chooses to depart. Go softly and enjoy the turning towards spring.

What a lovely day, Katy. What a happy cat! 'I let my bones shift down a gear from high alert.' Your final paragraph about sitting in the sun is just gorgeous. And reminds me that I must take the dog out!
