The language of your writing is magic. Not many writers can make a walk in the park so entertaining. Thank you.

Those sheep with excellent horns may have been white faced woodies, in which case they are descended from our lovely flock, because Tom at Mudchute bought some of our ewes! We have quite a few breeds, but the woodies are always my favourite, so much character. And escape artists...they probably egged the llama on!

What an amazing discovery Katy. I have a dream of owning some alpacas. I don’t know the difference between llamas and alpacas. I visited a farm and didn’t realise there could be quite so much variety of hairstyles and goofiness. I was mildly put off when one of them sneezed directly into a woman’s face. I gave her a tissue and just thought thank god that wasn’t me.

I love everything about this post. I related to your description of the feelings about the required medical visit. When I have a particularly unpleasant lab visit, I insist on eating somewhere “nice”=no fast food.

I did that yesterday after an annual mammogram. My husband and I went to a Mexican restaurant and sat outside.

One of the unexpected residual benefits of the pandemic is that a lot of the outdoor seating areas that were created to minimize Covid exposure have been retained. The blocking off of streets to cars to accommodate the restaurants, so no car exhaust or noise to accompany your dining experience

Your wander through the parks sounds magical! Much more mood-shifting than the suburban shopping areas in my surroundings. ❤️
