I am saving this post! I went to Canada in my early 20’s with limited budget so lived off iced cappuccinos from Tim Horton’s and cereal bars. Years later, I have been meaning to visit and this will help me plan where to eat! Thanks for a great round up of the great & not so great places to eat.

It’s just after 5 am here in Australia and I’m now craving gelato! Brilliant writing and photos. Will be looking up airfares to Canada. Thanks Katy.

Oh, I see what you meant about revisiting old Canada haunts and being disappointed, Katy. But then the culinary highlights later on sound/look absolutely mouthwatering!

I visited Wales over the bank holiday weekend and it was such a delight to find a tapas restaurant that hit the spot. It can really make a trip when you happen on the right place.

It’s sad that Sidney disappointed, both in terms of food and bookshops. Everything else sounded beyond delicious. That cocktail with basil leaf pinned to the glass is adorable! Was that the delicate one you mentioned? Thanks for sharing…you brightened my day.
