There is definitely something about visiting the beach. I have the Pacific Ocean roughly half an hour away to visit. Need to see if we can visit more often (as husband also loves the beach + ocean).
Gorgeously evocative. We holidayed in Aldeburgh for years when I was still working. Out of season it was just so empty. We loved it. Have you been to Shingle Street? Down the coast a little and it has the same weirdness as Dungeness.
